Maryland advances to the semifinals for the fifth-consecutive year. It plays the winner of the Duke-Florida State quarterfinal matchup.
The Terps won their 30th game of the season, only the second 30-win campaign in program history. Maryland won 34 games in its national championship season of 2006. The Terps are the only team in the country with 30 wins this season.
It was the first meeting between Maryland and Boston College in the ACC Tournament. The Terps have never lost to the Eagles, winning the six previous meetings dating back to 2006.
Terps senior Laura Harper set a new Maryland record for field goal percentage in an ACC Tournament game, going 8-for-8 from the floor. Harper did not qualify for the ACC record as the league mandates players attempt nine shots for eligibility. North Carolina's Tresa Brown holds the record, going 9-for-9 in a 1982 quarterfinal game.
Harper tied the school record for field goal percentage in a game. She is the sixth player in school history to shoot perfectly from the floor with at least eight attempts.
Maryland head coach Brenda Frese picks up her 199th career victory. She'll be going for her 200th career win on Saturday, March 8 in the ACC semifinals.
Harper finished with 25 points, her career best in the ACC Tournament.
With 24 points, Maryland senior Langhorne moved up three spots into eighth place on the ACC's all-time scoring list. Langhorne now has 2,147 points in her career.
Maryland's 93 points was the most in an ACC Tournament game since scoring 103 in a triple overtime loss to Virginia in the 1993 championship game.
Harper and Langhorne combined to shoot 19-for-21 from the field in the game, a 90.5 shooting percentage.
It was Langhorne's fourth straight 20+-point scoring effort and eighth of the season.
Harper and Langhorne both scored 20 or more points in the same game for the fourth time this season.
Langhorne (3rd) and Harper (4th), rank in the top four in the nation in shooting percentage. BC's Carolyn Swords ranked second entering the game. Swords was limited to 2-for-6 from the floor (.333).
All five Maryland starters scored in double figures for the fifth time this season.
Junior Kristi Toliver set a personal ACC Tournament high with seven assists, which gave her 549 in her career, 11th all-time in the ACC. Toliver is now six assists shy of tying the single-season program record of 249.
Harper had two blocks in the game, giving her 195 in her career, tying her for 10th all-time in ACC history with Kasha Terry from Georgia Tech.
Senior Ashleigh Newman extended her school record, playing in the 136th game of her career.
The Terps' 48 first-half points were the most in the first half of an ACC Tournament game since they scored 48 in a 1991 quarterfinal win against Georgia Tech.
