North Carolina Downs Maryland Men's Tennis

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Maryland men's tennis team fell to the 42nd-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels, 7-0, Friday afternoon.
Up 3-0, Zach Hunter's 6-2, 6-4 win over Alex Aksanov at No. 6 singles clinched the match for the Tar Heels (12-5, 1-3).
Nickolai Nielsen and Boris Fetbroyt had the opportunities for singles wins for the No. 75 Terps (7-8, 1-5).
Nielsen pushed Andrew Crone to a third set at No. 3 singles before falling 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8).
Fetbroyt also went to a third set, losing to Luke Mojica 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (7-0).
The Terps are back in action at noon on Saturday when they travel to Durham, N.C. to face 30th-ranked Duke.
