The Maryland men's tennis team closed its regular season schedule with a disheartening loss to No. 23 Miami, 7-0.
The Terps (7-13, 1-10) couldn't get a win at singles or doubles as Miami (13-7, 9-2) clinched the second seed in the upcoming ACC tournament.
Maryland's best performance came from junior Alex Aksanov, as he made a push in the second set against Keith Crowley, but lost 6-3, 7-5.
The Terps will be back in action April 16-19, at the ACC Championships in Cary, N.C. Maryland will have to rely on a strong performance in the conference championship to keep its NCAA tournament hopes alive.
