Former Terrapin Crystal Langhorne Leads TEO Vilnius to European Title

May 26, 2009

Former University of Maryland center Crystal Langhorne was named MVP of the championship series in leading her Lithuania-based TEO Vilnius squad to its second straight LMKL title.

TEO Vilnius defeated Arvi 3-0 in the best-of-five title series.

The Terrapins' all-time leading scorer and rebounder, Langhorne led TEO Vilnius back from a four-point halftime deficit in the final game of the series en route to a 10-point, 13-rebound performance. TEO Vilnius finished the season undefeated at 28-0.

A 2008 first round selection of the WNBA's Washington Mystics, Langhorne was named her franchise's Domestic Player of the Year. She will be joined this season in Washington by former Maryland teammate Marissa Coleman, the second overall pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft by the Mystics.

The Mystics open up the WNBA season on June 6 at Connecticut.
