Maryland to Close Out Regular Season

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's tennis team will finish its 2010 regular season this weekend, hitting the road for a pair of matches against N.C. State and Wake Forest.
The Terps (13-10, 1-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) will wrap up conference play by facing their ninth and tenth straight ranked opponents in a row.
N.C. State (13-11, 1-8 ACC) comes into the weekend ranked 50th nationally. The Wolfpack have lost six straight matches, including a narrow 4-3 defeat Sunday at Virginia Tech.
The Wolfpack feature Jaime Pulgar, ranked 62nd in the nation for singles, and Dominic Hodgson, ranked 112th nationally.
Wake Forest (11-8, 5-4 ACC) has dropped its last three contests, including a 6-1 loss at Virginia on Sunday. The team is ranked 23rd nationally.
The Demon Deacons are led by the 23rd-ranked Steven Forman. Forman is 7-2 in ACC singles matches this season, and is coming off an upset of Virginia's Michael Shabaz, the third-ranked singles player in the nation.
Friday's match against N.C. State will start at 2:30 p.m. at the Isenhour Tennis Center in Raleigh, N.C. Sunday's match against Wake Forest will begin at noon at the Leighton Tennis Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C.
