CARY, N.C. - The Maryland men's tennis team fell in the first round of the 2010 ACC Championship on Thursday, dropping its match to sixth-seeded Wake Forest, 4-0.

Maryland (13-13, 1-10 Atlantic Coast Conference), the 11th seed, took only one match on the day, winning at No. 3 doubles over the Demon Deacons (14-8, 7-4 ACC).

The Terps' Jesse Kiuru and John Collins picked up their third doubles win in their last four matches, knocking off Wake's Tripper Carleton and Zach Leslie, 8-6

Unfortunately, Maryland was unable to rally from its early deficit, and couldn't pick up a point in singles play.

At No. 5 singles, Graham Knowlton fell to the Demon Deacons' Danny Kreyman, 6-2, 6-4, clinching the match for Wake Forest.
