The University of Maryland men's tennis team begins its final stretch of the regular season No. 44 in the country according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.
Maros Horny, who plays at the top position, is No. 86 in the latest ITA singles rankings which were released Tuesday afternoon.
Tommy Laine and John Collins check in at No. 71 nationally on the doubles list.
With four of their final six matches at home, the Terps (9-7, 1-4 ACC) have a chance to improve in the ACC standings.
Maryland, who was No. 43 in the nation last week, will play 48th-ranked Clemson at 2:30 p.m. Friday in College Park. Maryland also plays host to No. 19 Georgia Tech at noon Sunday.
The Terps play their outdoor matches on campus at the Cole Tennis Center. Indoor matches take place at the Tennis Center at College Park.
Based on the current forecast, the team is likely to be inside Friday.
