GREENSBORO, N.C. -
Sophomore midfielder Katie Schwarzmann has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Monday, April 11.
Schwarzmann netted four goals, including the game-winner, in a pivotal conference win against rival and fourth-ranked North Carolina to clinch the ACC regular season title. The midfielder from Sykesville, Md., who now leads her squad with a career-best 41 goals, scooped up a team-high three ground balls and caused a turnover to help the nation's top-ranked defense.
The Tewaaraton nominee also tallied a draw control to help guide top-ranked Maryland to its 23rd consecutive victory and at least a share of the ACC regular season championship for the fifth straight season.
