COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Sarah Mollison has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending on Monday, April 4.
Mollison was spectacular offensively as No. 1 Maryland picked up two more wins last week to move to 12-0 this season. The senior from Melbourne, Australia, started off the week by tallying her 100th career assist at Towson, while racking up a career-best 10 points off five goals and five helpers to lead the Terrapins past the Tigers.
Mollison continued her attacking prowess Friday as Maryland routed a defensively-sound Penn squad, 16-4. The Tewaaraton nominee tallied five points on a pair of goals and three assists. The captain, who moved into third in career assists at Maryland, also registered three draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover on the week.
Mollison, who became the sixth different Terp to earn an ACC weekly honor this season, leads the Terps into a highly-anticipated showdown with No. 4 North Carolina Saturday at noon at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
