    - New Basketball Performance Coach Kyle Tarp changed the Terps' regimens this year from top to bottom. New diets and work out routines paid off throughout the year.

Kyle taught the Terrapins how to put good foods in their bodies and how to burn off calories. The staff and the team made a pact at the beginning of the year that they would become the fittest team in the country. As a whole, they lost over 120 pounds.

"There wasn't one game where I thought we were too tired to finish," head coach Brenda Frese said. "Our Basketball Performance Coach Kyle Tarp was outstanding and his stamp is all over our team. I've never seen anyone better than him at what he does. I saw some of our players make moves they'd never done before and clearly they were in better shape."

"Kyle is a very, very important part of our team. He also really helped our staff stay in shape with workouts and nutrition advice. My husband kids me that he didn't know Kyle was moving into our house."

With the huge improvements made in the off season last year, the sky is the limit for improvements made with a second year with Coach Kyle. A new facility to help with the team's performance will also add greatly to Coach Kyle's plan and vision for the team.

"This summer should be exciting, because our new "Basketball Performance Center" should be open and running. It's a room right off the main floor in the Comcast Center that is devoted exclusively to basketball training. It's a reality thanks to so many of our supporters and former players. Crystal Langhorne was one of the very first to write a check for it and I know we'll see her in there working hard."
