Terrapins Win at Baylor

WACO, Texas - The Maryland acrobatics and tumbling team won a close battle over Baylor 275.99 to 265.39 Saturday night at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.
The Terrapins won the acro, toss, tumbling and team routine events, while the Bears pulled out the other two.
Baylor narrowly won the compulsories round, 38.2 to 38.0, but the Terrapins won the next event, acro, 27.0 to 25.59 to take a 65.0 to 63.79 lead.
The Bears answered in the pyramid round with a 28.65 to Maryland's 27.9 but Maryland took a 92.9 to 92.44 lead into halftime.
The Terrapins won all three events after the break. In the toss round, Maryland began to pull away with a 121.70 lead to Baylor's 119.49. The Terps won the tumbling round 57.0 to 55.95.
Maryland won the team routine round 97.29 to 89.95 to take home the win.
Next, the Terps will welcome Azusa Pacific and Fairmont State to College Park on Friday for a 7 p.m. meet in the Comcast Center Pavilion. Admission and parking are both free.
