Maryland improved to 11-3 and 2-1 in the ACC, while Florida State fell to 12-2 and 2-1 in the ACC.
The Terps lead the all-time series with the Seminoles 25-15 and have won four of the past six contests.
With the win, Maryland is 148-29 all-time at the Comcast Center.

The Terps led wire-to-wire with their largest lead being 16 points with eight seconds remaining in the first half.
Maryland knocked down seven 3-point field goals to tie a season high. The Terps had seven 3-pointers at Delaware (Dec. 20) and at Nebraska (Nov. 28).
The Terps outrebounded the Seminoles 48-30 and 14-8 on the offensive glass. Maryland has outrebounded its opponent in all 14 games this season and 47 of the last 49 games dating back to last season.
Individual Game Notes
Alyssa Thomas led all scorers with 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for her team-leading eighth double-double. Thomas also dished out a team-high six assists.
Tianna Hawkins finished one rebound shy of her eighth double-double. Hawkins had 17 points and nine rebounds. Hawkins has scored in double-figures in 13 of the Terps' 14 games this season.
Tierney Pfirman had 12 points and seven rebounds including a career-high two 3-point field goals.
Katie Rutan finished with nine points, all from behind-the-arc, grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists.
