Before Maryland: Graduated from Lawrence High School in Lawrenceville, N.J., in 2004... lettered her sophomore and junior years... also competed with World Cup All-Stars in Freehold, N.J... member of Future Stars and then Shooting Stars for two years... captain of Future Stars in 2002-03... NCA National Champs including four Grand National titles in 2003-04... UCA All-Star for three years... trained in gymnastics for six years... won state and regional titles in gymnastics in 1998... yearbook class rep for four years... involved with track and volleyball.
Personal: Rebecca Lester... born in Trenton, N.J... daughter of Dana and Wayne Lester... has one sister, Christine and one brother, Michael... enjoys going down the shore, shopping and spending time with her family... chose Maryland for its great criminology program and strongest cheer program in the Northeast... majoring in criminal justice... biggest athletic thrill was winning nationals in 2003 with the World Cup Shooting Stars.
