As a freshman in 2003: Member of Maryland's first competitive cheer team
Before Maryland: Graduated from Westlake High School in Waldorf, Md., in 2003... lettered in cheering all four years... cheer team earned first place in Fall 2002 and Winter 2003 Charles Country cheerleading competitions... stunt group placed first at county competition in Fall '01, Fall '02 and Winter '03... also member of Southern Maryland Superstarz All-Stars from 2001-03... named All-American three times... team won several national and local titles.
Personal: Kari Grow...daughter of Angie and the late Rick Grow... two brothers, Ricky Grow and Shawn Breson... chose Maryland for the rising academics and school spirit... majoring in accounting with dreams of becoming a financial analyst for a prominent firm... member of University Honors, Primannum Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars... biggest athletic thrill was ranking first in prelims at NCA Nationals.
