NCATA Event Champion (Quad Pass, 2011)
In 2010-11:
Named an NCATA All-American...NCATA Event Champion in the quad pass...competed in the quad tumbling pass heat in all 10 meets...group earned NCATA record score of 9.22 at Quinnipiac (March 26)...competed in open basket toss heat...that group earned a season-high score of 9.85 at Quinnipiac as well (March 26)...also competed in the duo basket toss heat...that group earned an NCATA record score of 9.87 vs. Oregon (March 24)...competed with the seven-element stunt heat in all 10 meets...group earned season-high score of 9.898 vs. Baylor (Dec. 5)...member of team that went 8-0 during the regular season and advanced to NCATA championship.
At Maryland: Member of 2008 NCA national championship squad ... member of 2009 Cheersport championship team and NCA second place team ... also on 2010 NCA National Grand Championship team and Cheersport runner-up team ... voted Unsung Hero at the 2008 team banquet...named to ACC's Academic Honor Roll in 2010.
Before Maryland: Member of Maine Event All Stars ... team won 2006 and 2007 Final Destination ... stunt group won Top Gun award in 2007 ... named ECA Best Cheer Individual in 2007 ... NCA Top All-American Cheerleader in 2005-2006.
Personal: Kaitlyn Marie Letourneau ... parents are Mike and Gina Letourneau ... worked as a volunteer cheer coach and an NCA instructor ... chose Maryland because of the great academics and a beautiful campus ... undecided major.
