As a Freshman: Indoor- Competed in the 400 meter dash and the 800 meter run…took 13th place in the 800 at the Maryland Invitational, setting a season-best time of 2:06.18…placed sixth in the 800 at the Delaware Invitational…Outdoor- Ran in three meets for the Terps…best finish in the 800 was at the VCU Ram Invitational, with a time of 2:05.34.

Before Maryland: Attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Md., where he earned three varsity letters in track…his track team was the 3A state champions in 1999…during his senior year, won a Frederick New Post all-area honorable mention…named to second team all-Central Maryland conference…served as team captain…bests: 800m: 2:02; 1600m: 4:54.

Personal: Peter David Muenzfeld…born June 18, 1984…son of Andrew and Julie Muenzfeld…uncle Joel Neighbours plays baseball at Mt. St. Mary’s…favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine because he ran with passion.
