As a Freshman: Indoor- Competed in two meets, taking third places in the pole vault at the Terrapin and Maryland (II) invitationals…Outdoor- Finished second in the pole vault at the Maryland Invitational…also competed in the 200 meter dash and the shot put and javelin at the Maryland Invitational.
Before Maryland: Three-year letterwinner in track and field … placed second in the Sunshine State Games (pole vault) in 2000 … came in seventh place in the pole vault at the Florida state championships in 2001 … was named to the first team all-area in the pole vault and second team all-area in the 400 meters in 2001 … named captain and MVP of her high school team in 2002.
