Jeremy Loomis Bio

This season marks the fifth year that Jeremy Loomis will handle the role of head coach for the men's team. Since 1997, he has acted as the assistant coach of the women's team and as associate head coach of the men's team under Jim Laitta. He has been responsible for various duties with each program.

Loomis was a four-year letterwinner at Maryland, playing both the No. 1 singles and doubles positions. He was named the team MVP in his senior season of 1993. After graduation that year, Loomis competed on the pro tour. He continues to be ranked by the Association of Tennis Professionals in doubles competition.

Loomis graduated from the University of Maryland in 1993 with a degree in English and went on to complete his master's degree in exercise physiology from Miami University in Ohio in 1995.

He returned to his alma mater in 1996. Loomis volunteered as an assistant coach while playing in various professional tournaments.
