Fall 2000: Placed 11th in the Flight C singles draw at the NC State Wolfpack Invitational…teamed up with Chris Chiu to place sixth in Flight A doubles draw at the NC State Wolfpack Invitational…tandem made it to the semifinals of bracket in the DC Metropolitan Classic.
2000: Competed in all 14 regular season matches, 12 of which he played at the No. 1 position.... with teammate Chris Chiu, tallied three wins over non-conference opponents at the No. 2 doubles spot.... one of three juniors to lead the team.... for third consecutive season member of the team that was awarded the prestigious President's Cup for the highest team GPA at Maryland.... one of four team members to be awarded Maryland Scholar Athlete honors for the 1999 fall and spring semester.
Fall 1999: Advanced to the semifinals of the Flight B singles backdraw at the NC State Wolfpack Invitational.
1999: Competed in all 14 matches of the season at the No. 2 singles position … compiled a 4-1 non-conference record in singles play … proved to be a versatile player by playing with various teammates at the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles positions… member of team that received the President's Cup award for having the highest team GPA at Maryland.
Fall 1998: Suffered from an injury that kept him out for most of the season.
1998: Competed in Maryland's 18 matches at the Nos. 3 and 4 single positions … finished the season with a 6-4 record in non-conference matches and a 4-3 record in non-conference doubles matches.
Before Maryland: Attended Maryland's Winston Churchill High School … received all-county honors his freshman and junior years … lettered in tennis his freshman and junior years … as a freshman was Maryland state doubles champion.
Personal: Larry C. Chou … born June 4, 1979 … son of Katy and Tony Chou … has one brother, Ben (24) … also enjoys basketball, golf, the stock market and making money … majoring in computer science.
