On Rudder: Could be a big asset to the Terps in singles and doubles play.

Fall 2003: Continued to work hard to perfect his serve and volley game … appeared in the Terps singles lineup at the Tom Fallon Invitational.

Spring 2003: Finished his first year as Terp with a 11-11 singles record ... played seven matches as the No. 1 singles seed for the Terps ... paired with four different teammates in doubles competition ... knotted in a three way tie for the second most singles victories on the team ... won his 10 out of his first 13 matches of the season.

Fall 2002: Brought height and strength to the team … he was an important doubles and singles player … contributed in all three tournaments.

Before Maryland: Attended Queens Royal College in St. Clare, Port of Spain, Trinidad… was ranked No.1 in the country for four years as a teenager … reached the finals in the 18 and under ITF tournament … highest ITF ranking was 187 ... took time off after high school, resulting in a loss of a year of eligibility.

Personal: Pierre Adrian Rudder … born January 13, 1984 ... son of Myron and Monica Rudder … brother of Sarah (20) ... majoring in letters and sciences with an anticipated major in business ... a dedicated student who in high school received a distinction in math and English in the CXC examination ... enjoys listening to music and watching movies ... in high school was an avid cricket player ... nickname is ‘P’… chose Maryland because of the campus life and the business school.
