Terps' Wallace Makes All-ACC Academic Team
GREENSBORO, N.C.-- The Atlantic Coast Conference announced
its All-Academic football team Tuesday evening and Maryland's Al Wallace
was placed on the prestigious list.
Wallace, a senior education major, posted a 3.8 grade point
average last semester. It marked the fifth consecutive semester that he
qualified for the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (above 3.0).
He registered 40 tackles in 1996, including 13 tackles for a
loss. The senior co-captain and three-year starter is presently
student-teaching at a local high school.
