Tepper Resigns From Maryland To Seek Head Coaching Position
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Head football coach Ron Vanderlinden
announced the resignation of recently appointed defensive coordinator
Lou Tepper. Tepper has decided it would be in his best interest to
resign from his position at Maryland to pursue a head coaching job. He
had served as head coach at the University of Illinois for the last five
years.
Vanderlinden said, "I regret that Lou Tepper will not be a member of
our coaching staff. However, as a close friend of Lou's, I certainly
understand his desire to pursue a position as a head coach at this point
in his career. I wish Lou the very best."
Vanderlinden has initiated contact with potential candidates. As
with all of his appointments, Vanderlinden is committed to bringing to
the University of Maryland outstanding, highly qualified coaches.
