Final Facts From The Field....
Geroy Simon's 60-yard rushing TD was Maryland's longest rushing
touchdown since Mark Mason's 71-yard rushing touchdown versus Syracuse
on Sept. 14, 1991. It was also Maryland's longest scoring play of the
year, Simon's longest run of his career, and longest rushing touchdown
versus Carolina since Maryland's Willie Joyner in 1982.
Injured defensive end Al Wallace was kneed in the back. They do not know
the extent of the injury. He was taken for x-rays at the UNC Student
Health Center. Once they see the x-rays, they will make the
determination as to whether-or-not he can travel and he did have
movement in his legs.
