Terps in the NFL
Maryland has consistently produced NFL talent throughout the years. The Terps have had 22 players drafted in the last eight seasons, including at least two picks in the top three rounds in six of the last 11 drafts.

A total of 26 players have been drafted during the past 10 years and 63 players have either been drafted or signed as free agents over the last eight seasons. The Terrapins have had 15 players chosen in the first round of the NFL Draft, including two top-10 picks in the last six years: Darrius Heyward-Bey ( 7th, Oakland '09) and Vernon Davis (6th, San Francisco '06).
At the end of the 2010 season, the Terps had 26 players on NFL rosters (plus four on practice squads), which ranked third among ACC squads, trailing just Miami (42) and Florida State (27).
