A second-year defensive lineman who walked-on to the team midway through the 2008 season as a junior ... transferred to Maryland in 2006 from Howard Community College.

As a Junior (2008): Joined the team midway through the year ... member of the scout squad ... did not see game action ... did not play football his first two years at Maryland.

At River Hill High School: Played defensive end, tight end and tackle, earning three varsity letters ... helped the Hawks claim a league title in 2003 and county championships in 2004 and 2005 ... garnered all-county honors as a senior in 2005 ... tallied 94 tackles and 6.5 sacks during his final two seasons ... also played third base on his high school baseball team, batting .348 during the 2005 season ... coached by Brian Van Dusen.
