On Murphy: Redshirt sophomore tight end who is beginning to come into his own ... has good hands and speed ... has the size and potential to develop into a fine ACC tight end.

1998: Played in six straight games to end his redshirt freshman season while shuffling with Eric James as the Terps' backup tight end ... saw greater playing time as the season progressed ... caught no passes.
