Brandon Ross ran for 141 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

As a Sophomore (2012): Led the team in rushing with 390 yards despite playing in just six games ... averaged 65.0 rushing yards per game ... missed the first three games with a hamstring injury ... made his Maryland debut against West Virginia (9/22), earning the start and rushing 20 times for 52 yards ... started at running back vs. Wake Forest (10/6) and carried the ball five times for eight yards ... did not play against Virginia (10/13), NC State (10/20) or Boston College (10/27) ... returned to action and led the team with 12 rushes for 66 yards against Georgia Tech (11/3) ... started and ran for 100 yards against Clemson (11/10), his first career 100-yard game ... started and ran 11 times for 30 yards and caught one pass for five yards against Florida State (11/17) ... set career highs with 21 rushes for 141 yards against North Carolina (11/24), while also breaking off a 71-yard run that was the longest by a Terrapin all season ... scored the first touchdown of his career on a 1-yard run in the first quarter.
