As a Freshman (2012): Redshirted ... named the special teams scout team player of the week twice for his efforts in preparation leading up to the West Virginia (10/6) game, and the offensive scout team player of the week leading up to the Florida State (11/17) game.
At Linganore High School: Had a stellar senior season cut short due to injury ... posted more than 900 yards rushing and nine touchdowns in seven games during 2011 ... led the Lancers to a 5-2 record ... No. 51 on the SuperPrep Mid-Atlantic 59 ... earned honorable mention all-county honors despite the limited time on the field ... a honorable mention all-state choice and a first team all-conference honoree in 2010 after rushing for 968 yards and 14 TDs ... also had 54 tackles and four interceptions as a junior ... a great track athlete ... also recruited by Cincinnati, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, NC State, Georgia Tech, and Virginia ... coached by Rick Conner.
