Charles Huff is in his first season as an intern on the Maryland football staff.
Huff spent the last three seasons working in a variety of capacities at Tennessee State University.
In his final two years, Huff served as the tight ends coach, an assistant offensive line coach, special teams coordinator and the director of football operations.
During the 2006 season, Huff was the coach for the centers and guards along the offensive line.
Prior to serving on the TSU staff, Huff was a graduate assistant for his alma mater, Hampton University.
A standout athlete at Hampton, Huff played four years under TSU offensive coordinator Fred Kaiss.
Huff was a versatile performer who played mostly along the offensive line, starting 12 games at center as a senior in 2005. He also played guard, fullback and tight end in his career.
Huff was a member of three Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC) Championships, including the undefeated 2005 squad. The Pirates also made two Division I-AA playoff appearances during his playing days.
The Denton, Md., native earned a bachelor's of science in health and physical education from Hampton University in 2005.
