3 for T
Maryland women's basketball and Apple Ford Lincoln have teamed up to fight Leukemia. For every 3-pointer that the Terps sink, Apple Ford Lincoln will make a donation to Team Tyler.
This season the Terps have made 3-pointers.
About Team Tyler:
The Team Tyler Foundation was formed by four former star players at the University of Maryland when they learned their former coach's son, Tyler Thomas, had been diagnosed with leukemia. Shay Doron, Laura Harper, Marissa Coleman and Kristi Toliver were recruited to Maryland by head coach Brenda Frese and became legendary figures on the basketball court. The foursome, who each have their names and numbers honored in the rafters of Comcast Center, wanted to know what they could do to help their former coach. The result was Team Tyler, which has raised thousands of dollars to help the fight against Leukemia. The donations from the foundation go directly to the pediatric leukemia unit at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland, where Tyler Thomas receives treatments to help him beat leukemia.
