Head Coach Cathy Reese
Few people can claim they reached the level of success that head coach Cathy Reese has had as both a student-athlete and a coach at the University of Maryland. Reese, a native of Ellicott City, Md., has played a hand in eight Terrapin national championships, four as a player, three as an assistant coach, and one as a head coach.
Reese's Highlights:
• 2010 IWLCA National Coach of the Year
• 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 ACC Coach of the Year
• 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 ACC Champions
• Coached 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 ACC Player of the Year, 2009 and 2010 ACC Rookie of the Year, two Tewaaraton Award winners, five Tewaaraton finalists, 19 All-Americans, and 25 All-ACC selections
• 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 IWLCA South Region Coach of the Year
• Won eight national championships at Maryland as a player and coach (1995-2001, 2010)
• 1998 NCAA Tournament Most Valuable Player
