Taylor Named B1G Co-Freshman of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – After helping the No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team to two wins last week, goalie Megan Taylor was named the Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Taylor held a 6.03 goals-against average and a .583 save percentage in two wins last week. Against Johns Hopkins, Taylor made eight saves, and in 40 minutes against Rutgers, she made six saves while allowing just two goals.
On the season, the Glenelg, Md., native leads the Big Ten with a .492 save percentage and leads the conference and ranks second nationally with a 6.11 GAA.
In two conference games this season, Taylor holds a 3.62 GAA and a whopping .739 save percentage.
The Terps travel to No. 11 Princeton on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tilt. The game will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
