Homecoming Game Time Set

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland football homecoming game scheduled for October 1 against Purdue at Maryland Stadium will be a 3:30 p.m. kickoff, the Big Ten announced on Wednesday.

Additionally, the league announced the Terps will take on Penn State on October 8 in a road contest slated to begin at noon. Television platforms for these games will be announced at a later date.

Maryland now has three game times for 2016, as the home contest versus Michigan State (Oct. 22, 7:30 p.m.) was previously selected for primetime.

The Terps won their lone all-time meeting against the Boilermakers, picking up a 24-7 victory in the 2006 Champs Sports Bowl. This will mark Purdue’s first trip to College Park.

Maryland was victorious in its last trip to Happy Valley, knocking off Penn State 20-19 in 2014. The Nittany Lions topped the Terps, 31-30, in a thrilling contest inside M&T Bank Stadium last season.
