#13 Terrapins Host Howard Tuesday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The 13th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (2-2) will host Howard (0-3) Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the XFINITY Center. For tickets, click here.

The Terrapins fell at No. 1 Connecticut, 97-72, Sunday in Hartford, Conn. Sophomore Kaila Charles went 13-22 for 29 points, 12 boards and five steals to lead the Terps. Senior Ieshia Small added 12 points and junior Brianna Fraser scored 11.
This is the 28th all-time meeting between Maryland and Howard. The Terps are 26-1 vs. the Bison and have won three straight matchups, dating back to 1999.
Most recently, Maryland won 79-51 in College Park on Nov. 27, 2009.
Maryland is ranked No. 15 in the Associated Press poll and No. 13 in the USA Today Coaches Preseason poll.
After Tuesday's contest, the Terrapins will travel to Florida to compete in Miami's Thanksgiving Tournament Friday and Sunday. The Terps will take on Kennesaw State (0-4) Friday at 2 p.m. in Coral Gables and the Hurricanes (2-1) Sunday at noon.
