Taylor Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – For the third time this season, sophomore goalie Megan Taylor was selected as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
In an 18-7 win over Hofstra last Saturday, Taylor made 10 saves while allowing just six goals in 54 minutes. She also picked up a pair of ground balls.
This season, Taylor ranks fifth nationally with a 7.23 goals against average and is fourth nationally with a .585 save percentage.
The Terps host Boston College at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
