CELEBRATING 50 SEASONS
The 2023 season will be the 50th season of Maryland women’s lacrosse! Throughout the season, we will celebrate the illustrious history of our program culminating with the 50th Anniversary game against Michigan on April 2. Each game leading up to the celebration on April 2, will celebrate a different decade of the program. As well as exclusive giveaways throughout the season with our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” branding.

Saturday, Feb. 11 1 PM		HOME OPENER – Join the Terps as they open up the 2023 home season! 70S DECADE GAME – As part of our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” campaign, we’ll celebrate the history of our program in the 1970s! KIDS DAY – Kids 8th grade and younger receive FREE admission to the game and receive a FREE t-shirt while supplies last.
Sunday, March 5 Noon		80S DECADE GAME – As part of our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” campaign, we’ll celebrate the history of our program in the 1980s! KOOZIE GIVEAWAY – First 250 adults receive a FREE “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” koozie! POSTGAME AUTOGRAPHS – All fans are invited to stick around after the game for an autograph session with the team on the west concourse. FREE autograph cards will be available while supplies last! TERRAPIN CLUB DAY – TC members receive a FREE ticket to the game. TESTUDO – Everyone’s favorite mascot, Testudo, will make an appearance at the game and help cheer on the Terps!
Wednesday, March 8 5 PM		90S DECADE GAME – As part of our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” campaign, we’ll celebrate the history of our program in the 1990s! WIN IT WEDNESDAY – All fans have a chance to enter-to-win exclusive Maryland Women’s Lacrosse branded gear, equipment and more! The winner will be announced at halftime!
Wednesday, March 15 7 PM		2000S DECADE GAME – As part of our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” campaign, we’ll celebrate the history of our program in the 2000’s! WIN IT WEDNESDAY – All fans have a chance to enter-to-win exclusive Maryland Women’s Lacrosse branded gear, equipment and more! The winner will be announced at halftime! FEARLESS WOMEN CELEBRATION GAME – As part of a year long celebration of 50 years of Title IX, fans are invited to sign the "My Fearless Woman Is" display board on the concourse.
Wednesday, March 28 8 PM		2010S DECADE GAME – As part of our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” campaign, we’ll celebrate the history of our program in the 2010s! WIN IT WEDNESDAY – All fans have a chance to enter-to-win exclusive Maryland Women’s Lacrosse branded gear, equipment and more! The winner will be announced at halftime!
Sunday, April 2 Noon		2020S DECADE GAME – As part of our “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” campaign, we’ll celebrate the current successes of our program! 50TH SEASON CELEBRATION/ALUMNI DAY – Join us in honoring our alumni student-athletes from each decade on the field at halftime. TESTUDO – Everyone’s favorite mascot, Testudo, will make an appearance at the game and help cheer on the Terps! TESTUDO’S KIDS CLUB DAY – TKC family members get in FREE! RALLY TOWEL GIVEAWAY – First 350 fans receive a FREE “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” rally towel! POSTER GIVEAWAY – First 500 fans receive a FREE “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” poster! POSTGAME AUTOGRAPHS – All fans are invited to stick around after the game for an autograph session with the team on the west concourse. FREE autograph cards will be available while supplies last!

MOST VALUABLE PROFESSOR NIGHT (MVP) – Women's Lacrosse Student-athletes invite a University of Maryland faculty/staff member who’s had an impact on their academic career to be recognized at halftime.
Saturday, April 8 Noon		SENIOR DAY – All seniors and their families will be honored on the field during a pregame celebration. T-SHIRT GIVEAWAY – First 100 fans receive a FREE “50th season of Women’s Lacrosse” t-shirt! TESTUDO – Everyone’s favorite mascot, Testudo, will make an appearance at the game and help cheer on the Terps!
