Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is the VOICE of the student-athletes to Maryland Athletics administration, Big Ten Conference and NCAA Headquarters. SAAC may serve as a conduit of communication among student-athletes, coaches and athletics administrators on issues to improve the student-athlete experience and promote growth and education through sports participation. Concerns can be voiced and solutions offered regarding any issue that may be relevant to NCAA student-athletes.

Pre-Health Terps

Pre-Health Terps is a student-athlete organization dedicated to preparing students to pursue careers in the health professions. Student-athletes work in collaboration with UMD’s Health Professions Advising Office (HPAO) to deliver programming uniquely tailored for the student organization.

Worldwide Terps

Worldwide Terps is a student-led group who aims to support the holistic international student-athlete experience. This student group not only helps to build community amongst international student-athletes but also provides them with the tools for success in College Park and beyond. Programming includes but is not limited to helping international student-athletes transition and adjust to the United States, adhere to federal and state policies, and explore professional possibilities in both domestic and international contexts.
