RB Jake Funk recorded 180 yards on 17 carries and scored a 44-yard touchdown to give Maryland a 10-7 lead in the third quarter, his second 100-yard rushing game of the season.

Funk averaged 10.6 yards per carry in the game and now is averaging 8.6 per carry on the season, tied for the best mark in the country with running backs over 60 carries.

WR Dontay Demus Jr. has tallied a reception in 19-straight games.

Demus’ 23-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter marked his fourth-straight game with a touchdown, the first Maryland receiver to do that since DJ Moore in the first four games of the 2017 season (at Texas, 9/2; Towson, 9/9; UCF, 9/23; at Minnesota, 9/30).

In five games this season, Maryland has had five different leading receivers. Nick DeGennaro, 42 yards at Northwestern; Jeshaun Jones, 103 yards vs. Minnesota; Rakim Jarrett, 144 yards at Penn State; Dontay Demus Jr., 114 yards at #12 Indiana and Brian Cobbs, 99 yards today vs. Rutgers.

WR Brian Cobbs tallied career-highs in receptions (five), receiving yards (99) and scored his first career touchdown to give Maryland a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter.
