The XFINITY Center is designed with parking, power assisted doors, restrooms, concessions, water fountains, ATM's, closed captioning and seating areas accessible to guests with disabilities.
Assisted Listening Devices
Assisted listening devices are available upon request at the XFINITY Center. Please visit Fan Assistance located behind Section 105.
Bag Policy & Medical Bag Exemptions
The XFINITY Center is a clear bag facility. For further information, please see our full policy
here. Whenever possible, items should be carried in a compliant clear bag. However, should you or a guest possess a non-compliant bag
necessary for a medical need (to carry special equipment, to keep medicine cold, etc.), please check in with event staff at your gate and ask to speak to a supervisor. It will be searched and tagged to notify other staff that the bag has been inspected.
Closed Captioning
Closed captioning of the game public address announcements will be available on four ribbon boards on the corners of the arena.
Elevators
Elevators are located on the east side of the XFINITY Center that provide access to the Ground, Plaza (2nd Level), and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels. An additional elevator near Gate F provides access between the Plaza and Concourse Levels.
Entrances
Entrances for our guests with disabilities are available at the following four (4) locations at XFINITY Center:
- Gate C: Southeast corner of the arena on the Ground Level
- Gate D: Northeast corner of the arena on the Ground Level
- Gate E: Southwest corner of the arena on the Concourse Level
- Gate F: Northwest corner of the arena on the Concourse Level (Student Entrance)
First Aid
First Aid is located behind Section 209 on the Concourse Level (3rd Level) of XFINITY Center. Paramedics and ambulances are available during Terrapin Basketball games. If needed, please contact the nearest Maryland guest service representative, usher, arena security personnel, or police officer for assistance.
Metal Detection & Wanding
Guests entering The XFINITY Center may be subject to search via walkthrough metal detectors or handheld wands. If you or a guest cannot partake in metal detection due to a medical condition or disability, please check in with event staff at your gate for an alternative screening process.
Parking
Accessible parking for basketball games is available in Terrapin Trail Garage (Lot 6). If you are attending a basketball game and require accessible parking, the following parking options are available for you:
- Purchase your game day permit in advance. Show both your game day permit and your ADA permit to the attendants at Terrapin Trail Garage, where lot admission will be granted without payment. Both permits must be displayed upon parking inside Terrapin Trail Garage.
- Purchase your game day permit on-site at Terrapin Trail Garage (Lot 6). These on-site purchases may only be made with credit card, and are permitted only for those with ADA placards. Permits bought on-site will cost $20 for non-conference games and $23 for conference games.

Restrooms
Each of the 37 restrooms located conveniently throughout XFINITY Center is ADA compliant and accessible to our guests with disabilities. However, for the comfort of our disabled guests, four (4) private bathrooms have been designated exclusively for their use:
- At the top of Sections 105 and 110 on the Plaza Level (2nd level).
- Behind Sections 122 and 217 on the Concourse Level (3rd level).
Seating
Disabled seating is available at three locations throughout XFINITY Center:
- At the top of Section 110 on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) on the Northeast side of XFINITY Center
- At the top of Section 105 on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) on the Southeast side of XFINITY Center
- At the bottom of Section 107 on the East side of XFINITY Center*
- At the top of Section 216 on the North side of the XFINITY Center
- At the top of Section 225 on the Southwest side of the XFINITY Center
*This seating area for UMD students and is accessible by entering XFINITY Center through Gate C at the Southeast corner on the Ground Level and proceeding inside to the third door on the left (marked "To Arena/Event Level). A wheelchair ramp is available at this location.

Service Animals
Service animals are allowed inside The XFINITY Center. If possible, please email
terpsgameday@umd.edu in advance of your trip to campus so we may notify event staff to be aware of your arrival to the game. Emotional support animals are not generally allowed in The XFINITY Center. However, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis once the individual has completed an interactive accommodation process with the university ADA/504 Coordinator.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are not provided at The XFINITY Center. All guests requiring a wheelchair must provide them for their own use. If a guest requires medical attention or mobility assistance, please notify the closest event staff member or first aid staff.
