• Appeared in all 12 games as Maryland's primary punter
• Totaled 52 punts for 2,343 yards with a long of 64 yards
• Finished the year fifth in the Big Ten in punting average (45.1)
• Landed 21 punts inside the 20
• Had seven punts vs. Iowa (11/23), for 294 total yards and a long of 54
• Had four punts at No. 1 Oregon with a long of 51 and three inside the 20
• Booted three punts at Minnesota with an average of 50.3 yards and a long of 61
• Kicked three punts for an average of 53.0 yards in a win over USC
• Booted seven punts for 327 yards at Indiana, with four going 50+ yards. 
• Had three punts inside the 20 against both Virginia and Michigan State.
• Blasted six punts for 269 yards (44.8 avg) with five inside the 20 and a career long of 64 yards in Maryland debut vs. UConn (8/31)

At Notre Dame: 

• Served as Notre Dame’s primary punter during the 2023 season .
• Booted 38 punts for the Irish and averaged 45.1 yards per kick
• Connected on 13 punts of 50 yards or more, including twice blasting career-long punts of 59-yards against N.C. State and in Notre Dame’s bowl win over Oregon State
• Placed five punts inside the 20 with just two touchbacks.

• He is the son of Mike and Deanna and has two siblings, Brady and Cambria
• His grandfather, Mike McFerson, Sr., played basketball at Fresno State and led the team in scoring
