University of Maryland Athletics

Matthew Fyle was named associate director of strength and conditioning for Maryland Football in January of 2019.

Fyle spent the previous year as an associate strength and conditioning coordinator for the University of Oregon football program. Prior to joining the staff at Oregon, Fyle spent two seasons with the University of Georgia as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Fyle also has two years of experience in a similar role within the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons organization.

Fyle spent three years in the Unites States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division with a deployment to Iraq in 2004. He holds multiple professional certifications such as SCCC with the CSCCa, CSCS with the NSCA, USAW, First Aid and CPR certification. 

Fyle and his wife, Stephanie, have three children together: Ben, James, and Nicholas.
