As a Redshirt Senior (2018): Started 15 of the 14 games he played on Maryland's National Championship team...was limited by injuries at times throughout the season...helped Terps record 13 shutouts...notched five assists...played 1,265 minutes...started and played every minute of every match in Maryland's NCAA Tournament run where the Terps recorded five straight shutouts...helped the Terps record shutouts against Stanford (8/31), Virginia (9/3), West Virginia (9/10), Denver (10/16) and Ohio State (10/19) in the regular season...recorded an assist against West Virginia and Denver...tied a Maryland program record with three assists against Ohio State...invited to the MLS Combine. 

As a Redshirt Junior (2017): Started all 14 matches he played...helped the Terps record nine shutouts in his games played.

At UCLA: Spent three seasons with the Bruins, earning Soccer America, College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer second team All-Freshman honors as a rookie before racking up honorable mention All-Pac-12 accolades as a sophomore.

As a Junior (2016): Appeared in only three matches, making two starts, before missing the rest of the season due to injury … logged 196 minutes.

As a Sophomore (2015): Honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection … appeared in 20 games, making 18 starts … split time between left back and left midfield, logging 1,554 minutes … logged 90 minutes or more 11 times … racked up three assists (three points) on the season … led all UCLA defenders in assists and finished tied for the lead among UCLA defenders in points … assisted on Abu Danladi’s goal at Maryland on September 4 … assisted on Jose Hernandez’s first goal in a 4-3 overtime win over UC Irvine on September 27 … assisted on Javan Torre’s goal in a 6-0 win over California on October 19 … contributed to all four shutouts (New Mexico, San Diego State, California, Cal Poly).

As a Freshman (2014): Second team Soccer America All-Freshman selection ... second team College Soccer News All-Freshman selection ... second team Top Drawer Soccer All-Freshman Best XI selection … ranked the No. 20 overall freshman in the country by Top Drawer Soccer… appeared in 20 games, making 16 starts (most among UCLA freshmen) at left back, logging 1,619 minutes … recorded two goals and four assists, giving him eight points on the season … led UCLA defensemen in assists and points, while tying for the lead in goals … recorded his first assist in a shutout victory over Oregon State on Oct. 19 … assisted on the game-winning goal at Washington on Oct. 23 … assisted on the first goal in the regular season finale victory over San Diego State on Nov. 16 … led all UCLA defensemen in goals (2), assists (1) and points (5) in the postseason … scored his first-career goal in the NCAA Tournament Third Round win over California on Nov. 30 … assisted on the first goal of the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals win over North Carolina on Dec. 6 … scored the game-winning double-overtime goal to defeat Providence in the College Cup Semifinals on Dec. 12 … contributed to seven shutouts (at North Carolina, Santa Clara, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, at San Diego State, Oregon State and Virginia).

Before Maryland: Graduated from Gonzaga College High School in D.C. and played club soccer with current Terp Jake Rozhansky at Bethesda-Olney Soccer Academy. A consistent member of the U.S. U-18 National Team, Gasper has competed for the U.S. at the 2013 Limoges Tournament in France and in the 2014 Copa Del Atlantico in Las Palmas, Spain.

Personal: Son of Courtney and Christine Gasper...father, Courtney, played football at Ohio State...has an older sister, Kathryn...lists his biggest thrill as winning the 2012 Dallas Cup with club team Bethesda-Olney Soccer Academy...admires NBA star and DMV native Kevin Durant
