As a Sophomore (2016): Appeared in nine games off the bench for the Terps...saw action in wins draws vs. UCLA and Indiana and wins over Hartford, Georgetown, USF, Penn State Michigan State, Northwestern and Michigan.
As a Freshman (2015): Saw action in six games...contributed to a 0-0 tie against #4 Notre Dame (8/28), a 4-0 win over St. John's (8/30), a 4-1 win vs. Wisconsin (9/27) and a 2-0 shutout of Villanova (10/5)...also part of shutout effort against #17 Washington (10/23).
Before Maryland: Ranked #33 by Top Drawer Soccer and #25 by College Soccer News…NSCAA National Player of the Year…Maryland State Player of the Year…US U-18 MNT player pool…posted 23 goals and 18 assists to lead McDonogh to a 20-1-0 record in 2014…three-time All-Metro…two-time All-State…two-time NSCAA All-American.
Personal: Connor Smith was born on March 7, 1997…son of Don and Cathy Smith…has one brother, Alec…on honor roll all four years in high school…chose Maryland because its “close to home, great soccer program, great academics and felt like the right place”…major is business.
