University of Maryland Athletics

Ryan Morrison was hired in 2018 as the staff athletic trainer for the Maryland men’s soccer team, returning after spending time as a resident with Maryland football between 2014 and 2016. In addition to providing athletic training for men's soccer, Morrison oversees the athletic training resident covering baseball. Morrison provided medical care to the Men’s Soccer team during their NCAA Division I National Championship run in 2018. 
 
While away from Maryland, Morrison spent two years at Michigan State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. Morrison spent his first year covering men’s soccer, followed by football, during his second year.
 
Morrison received his Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training from Eastern Michigan University in 2014. His final semester was spent in Knoxville as a football intern at the University of Tennessee. Morrison won the Strickland / Venus Outstanding Athletic Training Student award as a senior.
 
Morrison is originally from Ann Arbor, Mich., and currently resides in Silver Spring, Md.
