• Opened his first outdoor campaign at the UCF Black and Gold Invite (3/17) with an eighth-place finish in the discus throw on a 48.96m toss
• Notched a fifth-place result in the discus throw at the Navy Outdoor Invitational (3/25) with a 47.01m throw
• Took sixth place in the discus throw (49.22m) at the LSU Lloyd Wills Invitational (4/8)
• Threw a 47.51m in the discus throw at the Florida Relays (3/31) to take seventh
• Finished runner-up in the discus throw at the Larry Ellis Invitational (4/14) with a throw of 49.87m
• Placed eighth in the discus throw at the Virginia Challenge (4/20), throwing a 50.14m 
• Won the discus throw at the Kehoe Twilight Meet (5/5) with a personal-best 51.86m throw while taking fifth in shot put at the event (14.80m)

• Posted a 15.78m in the shot put to take fifth place at the Navy Invitational (12/3), his first collegiate meet
• Recorded a personal-best 16.31m in the shot put at the Hokie Invitational (1/20), good for third place

• Records personal bests of 56.89m in the discus and 17.29 in the shot put
• Was a 3x English school champion, 2x national champion, and Manchester international champion.
