As a Freshman (2009): Team-high 18 assists and posted eight digs and four kills against Virginia (10/23)...26 assists and eight kills in victory against Virginia Tech (10/25)...28 assists and eight digs at Wake Forest (10/30)...posted a double-double with 33 assists and 12 digs, both career highs, in upset of North Carolina (11/13)...23 assists, eight kills and seven digs in win against NC State (11/15)...career-high nine kills against BC (11/25).
Before Maryland: Played at TCA...lettered four years in volleyball for the Angels at setter and right side...team captain and MVP as a senior...named first-team all league three of four seasons...first-team all-county in 2008...first-team all-group all-state all four years...second-team all-state in 2008...named MVP of the Philadelphia Volleyball Academy Tournament in 2007...competed in USA Volleyball national camps all four years of high school.
Personal: Remy June McBain...daughter of Andrew and June McBain...has three sisters, Brittney, Jade and Alexis...is majoring in family science...favorite athlete is Kurt Warner...biggest athletic thrill is winning a gold medal for the USA at the High Performance camp...chose Maryland for the family atmosphere surrounding the players and coaches, as well as the campus and academic reputation.
