Bria Watson

Bria Watson joined the University of Maryland as an Academic Counselor in September 2022. She enters her third school year in 2024-25 working with the football program. 

A native of Hampton, Virginia, Watson graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in May 2016 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, K-12. She received her Master of Science in Sport Administration from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia in December 2017. Following graduate school, Watson became an Assistant Learning Specialist in Athletics at Old Dominion University, working with multiple sports, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse.


Watson joined University of Maryland after a four-year stint at Georgia Southern University where she worked as a Learning Specialist and Academic Advisor in Student-Athlete Services. She was the Academic Advisor for Women's Tennis and Learning Specialist for Football.

Watson currently resides in Silver Spring, Maryland. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family, workout, shop, read, and travel.
