Cameron Simpson joined the University of Maryland Sports Medicine staff in February 2026 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, working with the Terrapins football program.
Prior to arriving in College Park, Simpson spent a season with the Cincinnati Bengals as a Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer.
In 2025, Simpson earned a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Biomechanics from Auburn University. During his time at Auburn, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Tigers football program.
Simpson earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Towson University in 2023. While at Towson, he completed clinical rotations with Towson University Football, UMBC Women’s Basketball, and Boys’ Latin School of Maryland. In 2022, he served as a Summer Athletic Training Student with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Simpson is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is CPR/AED Certified.
A native of Frederick, Maryland, where he currently resides.
