Christian Brown, from Waldorf, MD, joined the University of Maryland in July 2024 as a Learning Specialist. In his current role he is tasked with enhancing the academic skill development of student-athletes in order to help them become self-sufficient learners.

In May 2019, Christian obtained his B.S. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from West Virginia University. In May 2021, he later obtained his M.S. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Kentucky.

Upon graduation, Christian worked at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy as a Classroom and Site Coordinator. He then transitioned to the University of Minnesota where he was an Assistant Learning Specialist. Most recently, Christian worked at NC State as a Learning Specialist.

Christian is the middle child of three and currently resides in Largo, MD. Outside of work you can catch him at an UMD sporting event, the bowling alley, the movies, at brunch, or at home watching an array of sports.
