Dayna Carson joined the University of Maryland Sports Medicine Department in the summer of 2024 as a Resident Athletic Trainer for Cheer.
In May of 2024 she graduated with a Master's of Science in Athletic Training degree from the University of Miami. During her time at Miami she worked with the Canes football, women's soccer, and men's basketball teams. In addition to a local high school, hospital and physical therapy clinic. Dayna also completed rotations with Rice University's football team and Maryland's women's gymnastics program.
Dayna graduated from Howard University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Health Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. While at Howard she worked with both the football and men's basketball programs.
Dayna is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) and is currently CPR/AED certified.
A native of San Diego, California, Dayna currently resides in Washington, DC.
